Cycling: Cycling is not only a good way of keeping in trim while on holiday, it is also one of the best ways to discover the local area, with hundreds of kilometres of cycle tracks in the vendée, all clearly marked and often taking you to places difficult to get to by other means.
If you are able to bring your bikes with you you will have the convenience of being able to cycle where you want when you want and of course without the added cost of hiring the equipment.
However if should you need to hire the following establishments offer bike hire in the area.

Fishing: The main types of fishing are beach casting and deep sea fishing though of course you could include "Peche a Main" literally hand fishing or the collecting of shell fish from the rocks and sands at low tide.
Because of the popularity of the beaches, beach casting is usually reserved for night time, rough weather or out of season. It is also true that most fishermen prefer the more isolated beaches both north and south of Les Sables d'Olonne.
Deep sea fishing is well catered for and boats that make fishing trips are listed in our section on Boat Charters in the Vendée
