Situated in the leafy bocage this small town has the remains of a feudal castle which was first built in the 10th century. It was of considerable importance during the middle ages.
The centre of the town is dominated by the church which was rebuilt in
the 19th century in the Gothic style, though the crypt of an ancient
priory built in the 11th century in Romanesque style with 3 aisles,
sculptured pillars and medieval frescos is below and can be visited.
