north from Sion-sur-l'Ocean the stretch of sand up to Saint-Jean-de-Monts
contains seven beaches, the Plage de Riez is the closest to Sion-sur-l’Ocean and
next is the Plage La Parée Preneau.
The beach here is wide and even at high water there is still a large expanse of fine sand.
There is a good size car park in the dunes behind the beach behind the dunes runs the forest of the Pays de Monts.
The beach has surveillance during the high season.
Away from the main beach, is an unofficial nudist beach.
