50 rue du Pregneau, Bretignolles-sur-Mer. Tel. 02 51 22 47 50
This Little
Vendee of another age is claimed to be one of most beautiful miniature
villages in France with its attention to detail, the authentic materials
used, the atmosphere that creates an emotion of true history. It took
ten years to complete this 1/10th scale model with its carts crafts,
trades, stonehouses and watermill turning rymthmically.
The Village centre with its 3 meter high church and shops is the
dominant feature, though there is the steam locomotive, windmill over
650 small figures all helping to bring this typical Vendeen bocage
village to life, all housed within an air conditioned hall.
The Vendee Miniature is a source of wonder to young and old alike, a visit that will take you back in time to an earlier age.
