The French are well known for their rugby prowess and in the Vendée there are 6 clubs.
Yonnais at La Roche sur Yon
Fontenay-Lucon who play alternate games in each town.
Les Sablais at Les sable d'Olonne.
Rugby Club Challandais, Challans.
Les Herbretais At Les Herbiers.
Rugby Club of St.Hilaire de Riez.

Beside the main stream rugby that takes place from September to May there is Beach Rugby.
