During the Wars of the Vendée
hundreds of Vendéens sought refuge in the heart of the Foret de Grasla

bocage, will enable one to discover the unique life of the families that
took refuge to escape from the "Colonnes infernales" of General Turreau
in 1794.
The Refuge de Grasla gives you the opportunity to understand this unique and special part of Vendéen history.
