Refuge de
Grasla
Les Brouzils. Tel. 02 51 42 96 20
During the
Wars
of the Vendée hundreds of Vendéens sought refuge in the heart of the Foret
de Grasla near Les Brouzils. A trip to this forest, in the heart of the Vendéen
bocage, will enable one to discover the unique life of the families that took
refuge to escape from the "Colonnes infernales" of General Turreau in
1794.
The Refuge de Grasla gives you the opportunity to understand this
unique and special part of Vendéen history.
There are various animations for
the children and the show "Pierre, Capitaine de Paroisse" is performed on
Thursday nights in July and August and Sunday afternoons from June till mid
September
On July 16th & 17th in the Salon du Livre Vendéen. the 5th
