hectare of ground, this extraordinary kitchen garden at La Mothe
Archard offers visitors an opportunity to discover the magic of the gourd
and pumpkin family as well as other extraordinary plants.
What makes this garden so very extraordinary is its display of over 1200 varieties of plants all of which are extravagant and over the top in their shape, smell, taste and the strategies they adopt for their defence, their reproduction and other needs.
What is striven for is not a presentation of nature subjugated in grandiose displays, but the highlighting of curiosities of nature.
The garden is a workshop for young people on social re-integration programmes, in which they are supported and assisted in choosing a future career.
Open:
May: every afternoon from 14h to 17h.
