Petit Moulin de Châteauneuf
On the edge
of the Marais Breton in the North West corner of the Vendée is the 300
year old windmill which still grinds corn to make flour with its
ingenious machinery.
The Vrignaud family have been millers for generations and still carry on
using authentic working practises to produce traditional flours.
There are guided tours, a chance to taste pancakes and the sale of wheat flour and buckwheat flour all produced at the mill.
There is also a park where thinking is the game, with several trails and
themes which are educational, entertaining and relaxing for everyone.
