This
charming museum situated in a 19th century former teacher’s house in the
centre of the village of St. Denis-la-Chevasse. It is the first museum
in France to be devoted to the changes in kitchen utensils and equipment
through the ages.
In each of the six galleries there is a different theme, including
cooking, pastry making, and preserves. The museum houses splendid
collections from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
There are various games for children and you can buy copies of ancient recipes, recipe books and local produce.
