From Les Sables
d'Olonne south towards the Port Bourgenay lies a rocky stretch of coastline. The
road that traces this coastline is called La Corniche (not to be confused with
the Corniche Vendeenne which runs from St.Gilles-Croix-de-Vie to
Sion-sur-l'Ocean). This attractive wild coastline has many little coves and
there are well marked walking and cycling trails along the cliff edge.
The
route that starts around the beach at la Tranchet has several popular
restaurants and bars dotted along its lenght.
