Situated
in the heart of La Roche-sur-Yon, in a 12 acre park the Haras de la Vendee is
your invitation into the world of Horses.
At the National Stud, in wonderful surroundings you will be entertained by fabulous equestrian shows.
The Nation stud founded by Napoleon in 1843 to breed horses for the army is one of the largest in France. With over 100 stallions of various breeds on show you will have explained to you how they are cared for, from being shod to the tackle needed, their exercise and much more from some of the finest experts in France.
This beautifully cared for city farm has something for all the family.
From July to September there are daily events, educational workshops, guided tours and evening events every Thursday at 10pm.
December. Christmas events and equestrian shows.
June 23rd, 24th, 25th & 26th Cavalcades, 4 evenings of equestrian shows.
September Trophee du foal: "Horse of the world" shows featuring many different breeds of horses from around the world.
Opening Times: 10th April to 30th June. Weds. Sat.& Sundays
14h till 18h.
Easter and 3/7 to 19/9 every day 10h till 19h
Tarif: Adult 3€ handicapped & student 2€. Free under 18years
