The
Brasserie Melusine is the first Brewery in the Vendée. Melusine brewery
develops bières artisanales et biologique (craft and biological). They
are brewed in the haut bocage from spring water, malted with
barley, hops and local plants, this top fermented beer is unfiltered,
unpasteurized and re-fermented in the bottle to retain all the flavours.
The Brewery states that " Water is the essential element of the beer, which is why the brewery wanted to associate his name with the legend of the Fairy Melusine. Related to the forces of nature, she watches over the forest and the sources of the Vendée region since time immemorial. Beautiful snake woman, it brings prosperity and blessings to whoever wants to believe. Melusine brews its beers different character from water, malted barley, hops, and local plants from which it derives its flavors so special.
The development of our beers inspired by a craft process dating back several centuries, the Trappist method. Traditional materials (malted barley and hops), we add local plants. After a fermentation tank and a second bottled beers are then ready to be enjoyed. The presence of a slight natural deposit of yeast at the bottom of the bottle reflects the quality and authenticity of our products.
