The Bourrine du Bois Juquaud built in 1818, is a collection of authentic buildings constructed from mud with roofs of reeds and is a reminder of life in the Vendéen Breton marshes in the early years of the last century.
Buildings, utensils and everyday objects bear witness to the life of the marsh people of the Vendéen Breton marshes at the beginning of the century.
It has been restored as a part of the Vendée’s Living Museum, and provides visitors with a permanent exhibition which includes a large number of documents to help everyone to understand and appreciate all aspects of this local heritage.

Open: February March Monday to Friday 14h till 18h
April. Tuesday to Sunday 14h till 18h
May, June & Sept. Monday to Saturday 10h -12h & 14h - 18h
Sundays & Holidays 15h till 19h
July, August Monday to Saturday 10h till 12.30 & 14h till 19h
