du Bois Juquaud built in 1818 is a collection of authentic buildings
constructed from mud with roofs of reeds, it is a reminder of life in
the vendeen Breton marshes in the early years of the last century.
utensils and everyday objects are witness to the life of the marsh
people in the Vendee Breton marsh at the beginning of the century.
It has been restored as a part of the Vendee's Living Museum, the site
provides visitors with a permanent exhibition which includes a large
number of documents to help understand and appreciate all aspects of
this local heritage. The multimedia (exhibition and projection, interactive) completes this special place.
