Beaches,
Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard
The beach at
Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard is an attractive beach which follows on from the 17 beaches of Longville sur Mer to its south. It has forest
to the southern end with pleasant walks, and to the north Jard-sur-Mer. On
either end of the beach there are rocks which produce interesting pools giving
one the opportunity to discover the aquatic life of the region. In the summer
the beach can become very crowded especially at high water. This is partly due
to the fact that the house of George Clemenceau is situated in the centre of the
beach attracting many visitors and quickly filling the car park.
Getting
to the beach is simple, from the D21, the Longville to Talmont-Saint-Hilaire
road, follow the signs for Maison de Clemenceau the car park is almost on the
sands.
