famous Puy du fou.
Listed below are links to the major attraction that the area has to offer.
Theme parks and entertainment;
Grand Parc of Puy du Fou, this
world renown historic, educational and spectacular site needs very
little introduction, it is an outstanding day out which will entertain
all the family.
Cinescenie.
This is the after dark spectacular son-et-luminiere at the Grand Parc
of the Puy-du-Fou. This show has no equal anywhere in the world, but
advanced booking is essential as there are rarely tickets available for
casual visitors.
La Vallée de Poupet. Besides being in the very attractive valley of the river Sèvre Nantaise as well as the picturesque watermill and canoeing centre there is an Auberge, a Campsite and a spectacular open air auditorium which hosts amongst other things the Festival du Poupet which provides a variety of musical and theatrical entertainment throughout the summer.

Château of Blue Beard. The Château at Tiffages puts on a wonderful display of medieval war machines and entertainment on a medieval theme.
Château Mesmin. A trip back into medieval times with shows music and much more.
Churches. There are a number of interesting churches in the Haut Bocage. At St. Laurent-sur-Sèvre the large basilica brings pilgrims from around the world where as at Le Boupere the fortified church looks more like a castle. Medieval wall paintings on the churches at Pouzages and Pommeraie-sur-Sèvre are both fascinating and attractive.
Nature. The real attraction of the Haut Bocage is the wealth of natural sites. The river Sèvre Nantaise
has cut a valley as pretty as any in France and the delight of water
babbling over rounded rocks makes a picture that will stay with you well
after the end of your stay. Places along the river worth a second look
include the La Vallée de Poupet, the pretty village of Mallievre, Tiffages, Rochard, St.Laurent-sur-Sèvre with the park la Barbiniere and Mortagne-sur-Sèvre.
The Cite des Oiseaux is a bird sanctuary that attracts migratory birds on their autumn and spring migration.
